About the blog

I like to think of this blog as a girls’ guide to figuring-it-out. More than that, though, it’s my guide to figuring-it-out, and my diary of all the pitfalls, successes, and embarrassments in doing so. I’m only eighteen (I’m still very much “in bluhm” heh) but I spend a great deal of time trying to make sense of life, and of myself. On this blog you will find (what I hope is) unique, always-honest writing, tips and guides from my own imperfect experiences, celebrations of personal style, and whatever else may come to mind. In short, this is a lifestyle blog for young women who, while they may love fashion or beauty or pretty instagram flat lays, are most excited by philosophical conversations, imagining the future, and trying to be their best selves.

Here's a general overview of the sorts of things you'll find on this blog (explained below): College/adulating, health/wellness, personal style (in all aspects of life), and my life musings. If you’re a curious & self-aware young person, or If any of those things appeal to you, you’re in the right place. :)

College + Adulting

As an eighteen-year-old, I’m definitely no expert on being an adult, and I don’t pretend to be. Maybe you aren’t either. But you know what we are experts in? Not knowing stuff, and then trying to figure it out. From navigating college, to studying, to staying organized, I'll try my hand at "adulting," and I'll let you know how it goes.

Life musings

This is where it gets deep.

I do not have all the answers, and I feel silly claiming that I do. My mind is constantly filled with unanswered questions. For that reason, my blog won't always consist of "10 steps to solving all your problems" types of posts, despite how popular they may be on Pinterest. Sometimes I write things with a more complex, creative, kinda-philosophical train of thought. I think for a certain kind of girl, though, those types of posts can also be question-answerers. I love reading things that I can apply to my own life, and draw my own answers from. If you're like that, I'm writing these types of posts for you. :)

Health + wellness

I’ve always been immensely interested in how to be healthier, happier, and more “well” overall. Through this blog, you can follow my quest to discover how that’s done.

Your style

I think it's super important to work on discovering & accepting your own personal style. This includes your style of fashion, beauty, and décor, sure. But it also includes your unique personality, your quirks, and your style of thinking, learning, and socializing. Quite literally, it’s your lifestyle, or the little things that make up how you choose to live your life. Whether they’re big, small, or seemingly insignificant, I want to celebrate all aspects of your style.
